    200 Taiwanese company offers their products of machinery, food




        the East Camber Chairman Abdulrahman bin Saleh Alotaishan Opened on Tuesday (15/04/2014) ' Taiwan  exhibition catalogs, which introduced a large number of catalogs of products and services to more than 200 Taiwanese company with a variety of activities, hoping for a share in the local market. The products include a variety of exhibition: 'machinery, auto parts, building materials, medical devices, information and communication technology products, sports goods, chemicals and plastics, foodstuffs, textiles, Office equipment and stationery. The opening was attended by the Economic Adviser to the economic and cultural representative office, Taiwan's Embassy in Riyadh, Mr. Walter Kälin, as well as the Secretary General of the Chamber Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah al wabil, and a number of businessmen from the two countries.
    AlOtaishan stressed the importance of holding such exhibitions to promote economic cooperation between the two countries, noting that the Chamber is interested in exploring further prospects for cooperation, calling on the business side to grab such opportunities, expressing his desire to organize similar fairs in the future. Taiwanese Economic adviser said that his country always keen to participate in trade fairs and exhibitions which take place annually in catalogs, to provide products and services to consumer and investor in the Saudi market, the effect on the bilateral trade volume between the two countries, which increased in 2013 by 4.7 percent to 17.4 billion dollars, while exports amounted to 15.6 billion dollars, and imports from Taiwan for about $ 1.8 billion. Noting that the Taiwan market receives from Saudi oil and petrochemical products, while Taiwan exports to the Kingdom of machinery and automotive parts, information technology and communications products, plastics and medical equipment.

    He noted that Taiwanese investment in the Kingdom has experienced remarkable growth in recent years, with approximately $ 37.5 million, and that there is scope to attract more investment to Taiwan companies to work in the field of energy, the solar energy sector in particular, adding that Taiwanese brands enjoy a good reputation in the market.
